In recent years school based counselling has become increasingly more recognised as an effective early intervention strategy for young people experiencing a range of problems;
Relationship reconciliation Behaviour issues Cultural / diversity issues Family / carer issues Health concerns Learning difficulties All of these issues can influence a child's experience and education whilst at school.
The education minister states that:
'it is important that children who are experiencing problem can share them with someone they trust, and school-based counselling with an appropriately trained professional is one of the most prevalent forms of psychological therapy for young people in the UK'.
As well as offering general counselling services we also facilitate group workshops looking at self esteem, careers, bullying, identity, and life skills. We are passionate about inspiring and empowering growth in youths to develop and increase their confidence, work prospects and to maximise their potential.
